Privacy Policy

We collect
nothing.

Last updated: July 1, 2026

byrnit is a private journal for your worst days. Everything you write lives only on your device. There is no account, no cloud, and no one — including us — can read what you write.

What we collect

Nothing. byrnit does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. We have no servers that receive your entries, and we never see them.

Where your writing lives

Every entry you create is stored locally on your device only. It never leaves your phone. byrnit has no account system, no sign-in, and no cloud backup. If you uninstall the app, your entries are gone with it.

No internet, no tracking

The released app does not request internet access. It contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. Nothing you do in byrnit is measured or reported anywhere.

Biometric lock (optional)

You can choose to protect the app with your device's biometric lock (fingerprint or face). This uses your device's own security system. byrnit never accesses, receives, or stores your biometric data — that stays with your operating system.

You are in control of your data

Your writing is yours to destroy. Inside the app you can:

Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and no data to request.

Children

byrnit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone (as stated, we collect nothing at all).

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data — for example, if a future version adds an optional feature that uses the internet — we will update this page and the app's Data Safety details before that feature ships.
